TechEx SF

On July 19th, the SF Human Rights Commission hosted its 1st TechEx: Youth, Innovation, and Culture Lab Summit. Youth had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology trends at the intersection of creativity, culture, and economic equity, gaining exposure and networking and micro-mentoring opportunities through its focus on Innovating Equity in Creative Economies and range of discussions on the opportunities, challenges, and pitfalls that Black creatives and other people of color navigate in the tech and art industries.

Speakers included Dr. Ruha Benjamin and ChatBlackGPT founder Erin Reddick.


A Conversation with the US Attorney’s Office

On July 16th, OFA Interns and Fellows participated in panels and discussions around Hate Crimes and Hate Incidents in San Francisco how they impact communities, and what can be done to address them. Participants had interactive discussions with Federal, State, and local law enforcement community leaders, as well as people representing communities deeply impacted form these crimes. 


OFA Mentor Series

The Opportunities For All Mentor Series is a collection of panels, workshops, and group sessions where participants can learn more about different career paths. Youth and young adults are able to listen, ask questions, and interact with various professionals, learning and understanding that there is a place for them in these fields.
